
Emergency's Roy Desoto

Kevin Tighe is an actor, undoubtedly best known for his portrayal of Paramedic Roy DeSoto in the long running adventure series "Emergency!", which ran on NBC from 1972 to 1977. When the series ended, Kevin left LA for New York, where he spent a decade taking high-powered acting classes from Robert Lewis and Stella Adler and then did some acting on and off Broadway. He returned to Hollywood in 1987 to appear in the John Sayles motion picture "Matewan". In Matewan, he had his first opportunity to play a "bad guy." He also worked on an independent Canadian film, I Love A Man in Uniform, for which he won the Genie Award for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role". Other numerous film appearances include: In Cold Blood, Race the Sun, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, City of Hope, Road House, and stared with PCC alumnist Nick Nolte in Another 48 Hours. More recently he has appeared in the T.V. series Murder One as Detective Davy Blaylock and played Sgt. Pete Mattimore in an episode of ER. He played Henry Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager. He is presently in NBC's Freak and Geeks as Mr. Annapolis.
